HTNA hosts many events each year. Our annual events are Bingo for Books in January, a Plant Sale/Exchange in May, Fun and Games in the Park in June, Neighborhood Night Out in August, and Doggies and Donuts in October. We could always use a hand planning, advertising, procuring prizes/food, etc. If you would like to help keep these traditions alive, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some photos from our recent Cotton Mask Giveaway at Central Market. Central Market was a wonderful host and the community response was wonderful. Click on the link for a handout on how to TieDye your mask and links to find supplies.
Here are a few links to some good online resources on tie-dyeing, from the basics to more advanced techniques and projects.
BASIC TIE-DYE INSTRUCTIONS
Tulip’s How To Tie-Dye
https://www.tiedyeyoursummer.com/how-to-tie-dye These instructions are based on Tulip’s One-Step Tie –Dye Kits.
Dharma Trading’s Tie-Dye Basics
Dharma Trading taught me to tie-dye with these basic instructions. Their tutorial assumes you’re using their dyes and other products. There’s another step or two in the process when you use Dharma’s Procion dyes, as compared to the Tulip’s One-Step kits. You’ll need some additional products (a couple are necessary, some are optional but a good id ea, and some are just fun to play around with). But their dyes are still pretty easy to use, and they give you the flexibility to do a lot of cool stuff. Plus, look at all the great colors!!

We are starting to plan our spring and summer events – stay tuned, or email us to get involved!!
Doggies and Donuts has also become a fun tradition!
